With the Holiday season coming to an end we all should take a minute and reflect on last year. As I reflect on last year, I can tell you it was a very pivotal year for my wife and I. I ventured into starting Hendersonville Lifestyle magazine. After working most of my life in the newspaper industry and watching it all but die, it has been very refreshing knowing that this type of print is not dying, but in fact is very cool again. With most of us starting our day out with some sort of digital device, from our phones to tablets and computers, with our eyes constantly focused on some type of screen, including the TV every day. Yes, you can read our publication online on all your different devices to add to that screen experience each month if you would like. But there is something about being at home or on a plane or in a coffee shop and holding something tangible. Being able to look at lots of great pictures of places to go and people that you know or would like to know along with informative stories to go with them. I am most proud of the people that come up to me every week and tell me they read it and how much they liked the magazine. I also have a growing number of people who email me or ask if we can add their subdivision to our mailing list. Thank you all for helping to get us started in 2016.
Welcome to 2017 where we still have a lot of work to do to continue to earn both your business and readership. We have an exciting year planned for you and our goal is to serve as your community bulletin board. This is your magazine and we welcome your feedback and ideas. We will grow our page count as we continue to partner with more local businesses and organizations. Please patronize our advertising partners and help us get the word out to our community.
Make 2017 your best year and help us to make it our best year. I love connecting with people in this amazing community and look forward to connecting with you soon.
Happy New Year from our family to yours.
