The changing of the colors from vibrant, summery greens to autumnal yellows, rusty oranges and dark reds. The smell and crunch of freshly fallen leaves, the taste of warm apple cider and perfect pumpkin pastries—so much pumpkin. The windows-open Saturday football days and the chili-in-the-Crock-Pot Sunday football afternoons.
The shorter days spent at school and outside and the cooled-off weather after those dreaded dog days of summer. The commencement of all of these wonderful things can only mean one thing: fall is in the air.
And here at Hendersonville Lifestyle, we’re ready for some of the best things this season has to offer, starting with our area’s higher educations institutions—Union University, Welch College and Volunteer State Community College—in this issue. You can truly get a great education at one of these fine schools without leaving Sumner County. That has only been the case for us here for a very short time, and I feel a lot of people here will take advantage of it.
You will also find in this issue coffee, beer and comfort food. Whether you’re enjoying nachos at a game, coffee from your cafe of choice or beer from your go-to sports bar, we hope you feel festive this fall with all of the great food, sports and drinks to be found.
Here’s to hoping October’s issue of Hendersonville Lifestyle gets you in the autumnal spirit and continues to inspire you with our great, local articles connecting you with the Hendersonville community.
Have a spooky and festive October. We’ll see you around.
