Perfect Outfits to Transition from the Office to the Stadium

It’s fall, y’all, but more importantly, it’s tailgating season with our favorite football teams! Whether you are an SEC college fan—ahem, Roll Tide—or your team spirit hangs with the Titans, dressing for the main event can feel repetitive when outfitting your game day attire.

While it’s acceptable to throw on your favorite player’s jersey every weekend, it’s not a very versatile piece of clothing that can be worn in other areas of your life. If you are wearing your jerseys and team championship tees to the office, we need to talk. Keep those gems for backyard barbecues and show your team spirit in other ways without being so literal.

So what else can you wear?

Depending on which stadium you frequent, the dress code can vary from college coed to the die-hard alumni with season tickets. Just think outside the box and start with your team colors as a guide.

Since I can’t outfit every college team in the bordering states, I picked a few to get you started. And, to not slight my Ole Miss Rebels friends, you people hang chandeliers from your tents, so my fashion advice is probably not really needed.

Tennessee and Auburn Fans

Orange is not everyone’s best color, but this orange and white buffalo check from Draper James can be worn multiple ways outside of game day.  Wear into fall layered under a boyfriend cardigan in camel or an olive colored utility jacket for non game day outings.
