Ending the Year with Gratitude

Years ago, I worked for a large printer that produced a variety of publications, including magazines. While printing was interesting, I often found myself daydreaming about what it would be like to be the person behind the content.

As fate would have it, my creative interests were to remain just daydreams until 2016, when I met Lynn Bowles. Lynn was preparing to publish a new magazine called Hendersonville Lifestyle. I was immediately sold on his enthusiasm and his commitment to providing a high-quality, local publication.

I started contributing to Hendersonville Lifestyle magazine beginning with the debut issue. Since then, I have progressed from photographer to writer, and in July 2018, I became the editorial coordinator.

While producing the magazine each month is a challenge, it is also one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done. I am very grateful for the opportunity I have been given, and I owe thanks to a lot of people who help me live my dream.

Baileys Irish Coffee

Ingredients

2 ounces Baileys Original Irish Cream

1 ounce Irish whiskey

6 ounces hot coffee

1 tablespoon whipped cream

Directions

Mix Baileys and Irish whiskey in a traditional Irish coffee glass. Stir in the hot coffee. Add whipped cream on top. Optional: Add red and green cocktail rimming sprinkles.
