Tom and Betty Neal Honored with Chancellor’s Award
Tom and Betty Neal of Gallatin were recently awarded the Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Philanthropy. The award honors those who have made great and lasting contributions to the state’s colleges and universities.
Along with their support for Vol State, the Neals have also been strong supporters of Tennessee Technological University. The presentation of the Chancellor’s Award was made at the annual Hal R. Ramer Dinner by the Volunteer State College Foundation.
Bill Sinks Named Vol State Distinguished Alumnus
The Volunteer State Community College Distinguished Alumnus Award was presented recently to a former trustee who has remained active and involved with the Volunteer State College Foundation. Hendersonville businessman Bill Sinks has donated to the foundation for 15 years and worked on many fundraising campaigns.
“Bill has worked tirelessly to support any event that he is asked to and has been a champion in challenging others to give to our Capital and Major Gifts campaigns,” said Foundation Executive Director Karen Mitchell.
The Gatherings at Indian Lake Hosts a Groundbreaking Ceremony
The Gatherings at Indian Lake hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for its new condominium project on Nov. 18, 2018. The project is designed to provide a convenient living experience for active adults in the 55-plus age range.
The new condo homes will feature a variety of amenities, including access-controlled entry, private garages and spacious floor plans with covered balconies.
With construction by Beazer Homes, the condos are expected to be priced in the $300s.
