TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center Welcomes Hospitalist Medical Director

On Jan. 7, TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center announced the addition of Dr. Jennifer Everett, D.O., internal medicine physician, to the medical staff. Dr. Everett will oversee the medical center’s hospitalist program, the group of physicians who specialize in the care of hospitalized patients and are available 24/7 to provide ongoing and immediate care.

“We are fortunate to have a hospitalist program at Hendersonville that is filled with experts trained in the field of hospital medicine to care for our admitted patients,” said Regina Bartlett, CEO of TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center.


Free Pregnancy Ultrasounds at Vol State

The Volunteer State Community College Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is offering free ultrasounds for expecting moms in their second or third trimester this spring. The program organizes the scans so that Vol State students can gain experience with real obstetric patients. The scans will be performed in the Sonography Center at the Vol State campus in Gallatin. It’s equipped with six beds, HD screens and state-of-the-art ultrasound machines. All ultrasounds are supervised by a Vol State faculty member. The students will be scanning on Mondays and Wednesdays through the end of April. The scans usually last one hour. Patients must sign a release of liability and have already had an initial ultrasound exam before they can participate. Gallatin High School Holds 2019 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Gallatin High School held its annual Hall of Fame event on Friday, Jan. 11. The event was designed to recognize former outstanding athletes of Gallatin and Union High Schools.

The event began with a barbecue dinner sponsored as a fundraiser for the Gallatin baseball program. It concluded with a ceremony during which the six new Hall of Fame members were formally inducted. The 2019 class consisted of Matthew Harber, Denver Howell, Mary Huddleston Malone, Byron McCollum, Amy Lannom Wilhite and Rob Hosier.

TriStar Hendersonville Awarded Hip and Knee Replacement Certification

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center announced on Jan. 14 that it has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement Certification. The certification reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe and effective patient care.

“TriStar Hendersonville is pleased to receive this certification from the Joint Commission,” said Chief Executive Officer Regina Bartlett, TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center. “The certification provides us with the framework to provide the very best quality of care for knee and hip replacement surgery patients in our community.”

Sumner County Bridal Show Held at EPIC Event Centre

The seventh Sumner County Bridal Show was held at EPIC Event Centre on Sunday, Jan. 27. Featuring more than 70 wedding vendors, the show attracted hundreds of brides-to-be, grooms-to-be and their guests.

The annual event helps engaged couples connect with area businesses offering a variety of wedding product and services, including venues, florists, caterers, musicians/DJs and photographers/videographers.

During the show, the first 100 brides received a special swag bag containing wedding-related goodies.

The event was sponsored by the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce.
