Connie Maynord Crowned Elite Tennessee North America

Connie Maynord was crowned Elite Tennessee North America in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, March 2. Subsequently, Connie represented  Tennessee and Sumner County at the International Elite North America Beauty Pageant in Orlando, Florida, June 24–28. Her pageant platform was “Reinventing Yourself.” Connie is very active in her community, serving and volunteering with a variety of community, civic and charitable organizations. Connie and her husband, Chris, are proud residents of Hendersonville. 

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center Achieves Healthgrades 2019 Patient Safety Award

TriStar Hendersonville announced on June 21 that it is a recipient of the Healthgrades 2019 Patient Safety Excellence Award. This distinction places TriStar Hendersonville among the top 10% of all short-term acute-care hospitals reporting patient safety data as evaluated by Healthgrades, the leading online resource for information about physicians and hospitals. “We are thrilled to have been awarded the 2019 Patient Safety Excellence Award by Healthgrades,” said TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center CEO Regina Bartlett.

Hendersonville Detective Earns Highest Academic Honors at Union University

Hendersonville Police Detective Javier Garcia crossed the stage at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, to receive his bachelor’s degree with summa cum laude recognition May 18. Unlike his fellow graduates, Javier’s journey to his college degree began nearly two decades ago in a different country. Simultaneously working, raising a family and taking courses, his hard work propelled him to success, both professionally and academically. “We are very proud of Javier’s accomplishments at Union and his service to our community,” said Reneé Dauer, campus director of Union University Hendersonville.

HolidayFest and F&M Bank Host a Christmas in July Party

HolidayFest and F&M Bank sponsored a Christmas in July Cocktail Party at the F&M Bank office on Indian Lake Boulevard in Hendersonville. The event was held to announce the charities that will benefit from HolidayFest events this coming year. “We were honored to support the efforts of HolidayFest to assist local charities,” said F&M Bank Assistant Vice President Jennifer Caldwell.

“This event was a great opportunity for attendees to buy tickets and sponsor the 20-plus events planned for HolidayFest 2019,” said Larry Phillips, president of HolidayFest.
