Garlands and Glitter

The annual HolidayFest Garlands and Glitter Fashion Show was held at the Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club on Nov. 2. Sponsored by Dillard’s of Rivergate, the event featured local models showing off some of the best of today’s fashion. The fashion show and the accompanying silent auction raised thousands of dollars for the Sumner County Family YMCA’s After Breast Cancer Program.

Get Ready for Vol State Spring Classes

Spring classes at Volunteer State Community College start on January 21. There are hundreds of courses to choose from in six major divisions: Business and Technology; Health Sciences; Math and Science; Humanities, Nursing; and Social Science and Education. Classes are held in the day and evening in traditional classroom formats. The college also offers hundreds of online classes each semester.

Miracle Park Groundbreaking Ceremony

The Gallatin Parks Department held a groundbreaking ceremony for its forthcoming Miracle Park on Nov. 26. The new park, located in the existing Triple Creek Park, will feature three different entertainment areas and it will be an all-inclusive facility available for all area children and their families.

Thanksgiving Babies at Hendersonville Medical Center

The Birth Center at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center continued its tradition of celebrating holidays by clothing newborns with fashionable Thanksgiving clothing on Nov. 25. The infants were professionally photographed in their festive attire, which was given to the parents following the photo session.
