The Newcomers and Community Club of Sumner County hosted its Fifth Annual Garlands & Glitter Fashion Show on November 3 at the Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club. Proceeds from the HolidayFest event benefited the Sumner Teen Center.
The annual Christmas Tree Elegance event was held November 18 at the Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center. During the event, Christmas trees decorated by nationally known designers were judged and subsequently sold during a silent auction and reception.
The Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting in honor of the 10th anniversary of Mike Roy Roofing Company. The event was held November 10 at the chamber office in Hendersonville.
The 11th annual Indian Lake Loop was held on Thanksgiving, November 23, at the Streets of Indian Lake. The race attracted a field of more than 1,000 runners who participated in the timed 5-mile road race or the family-oriented 5K fun run/walk.
The fifth annual Hendersonville Veterans Day Parade was held on November 5. Sponsored by the city of Hendersonville, VFW Post 9851 and the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 240, this event honored all U.S. military veterans as well as today's fire, police and emergency services providers.
