Summit Funding Ribbon-Cutting

The Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting December 21 for Summit Funding owners and guests at their new location at 174 Saundersville Road.

Christmas 4 Kids

The annual Hendersonville Christmas 4 Kids event took place on December 12 with dinner and entertainment at the Gallatin Civic Center followed by a  shopping spree at the Walmart Supercenter in Hendersonville. Hundreds of children and chaperones from across Sumner County attended the event.

Sumner Family YMCA Frostbite Races and Polar Plunge

The annual Frostbite Races/Polar Plunge was held on Saturday, December 30. Hundreds of runners competed in the 10K and 5K races held at the Sumner Family YMCA in Hendersonville. After the races, several individuals participated in the Polar Plunge,  leaping into a frigid 29-degree outside pool. 

Hendersonville Eye Care Center Ribbon-Cutting

The Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony December 4 for the Hendersonville Eye Care Center at their office at 625 E. Main St.

Hendersonville Christmas Parade VIP Gathering

Hendersonville Christmas Parade dignitaries and sponsors were treated to a VIP celebration before the start of the event on December 3. Special guests included grand marshal Dana Williams of Diamond Rio, emcee Holly Thompson of Channel 4, the parade judges and local politicians and dignitaries.

Salvus Center Hosts Leadership Celebration

The Salvus Center celebrated its 12th year of providing nonprofit medical services with a leadership celebration held December 14 at Worthington Galleries in Gallatin. During the celebration, the center recognized board members, community volunteers and staff leaders.

February 2018 Around Town

The annual Hendersonville Christmas Parade was held December 3,  an unseasonably warm afternoon. The parade drew a large crowd of locals and out-of-town visitors. Produced under the HolidayFest umbrella, the parade had more than 80 entrants, including floats, classic cars, clowns and musical performances by high school marching bands.
